Ernest Hemingway has said that Lake Manyara is the ?loveliest? lake in Africa. Lake Manyara is a shallow freshwater lake in northern Tanzania. The Lake Manyara National Park stretches for 330 sq km (127 sq mi) along the Rift Valley escarpment.
The Park?s compact game-viewing circuit offers a supreme Tanzanian safari experience. The lush forest is home to baboon troops, blue monkeys, hornbills, and more. The grassy floodplain is visited by buffalo, impalas, wildebeest, zebra, giraffes, hippos, elephants, and warthogs. If you are lucky, you may even see the elusive leopards and lions.
In addition to the assorted wildlife, Lake Manyara National Park is known for its beautiful and diverse flora and fauna. The park can be traversed by jeep anywhere from a couple of hours to several more, depending on your mood. The splendors you find within the park will be remembered for a lifetime!
